A New Way to Search

MABB © ®

Once in a while, when I find something interesting or amusing in the net, I like to pass it along to my readers. This time it is something very amusing. At least, I think so. It's a new way to do searches that, if I have the right info, was conceptualized by Microsoft, in its efforts to win some space for its own search engine. Please, check it out and come back to MABB to tell us your reactions. We'll be waiting!

I would love to tell you, but all I got was a blank, black page!!!

Well, depending on your computer and the version of your browser, it could either take a long time to load or it might just not work. I just double checked the link, and it's good.

I would say, it'll work with a new version of Internet Explorer or Firefox. Personally, I use the fox.

But, since it's a video that's being loaded, it might just take a long time.

And thanks for trying. :-)

Thanks for sharing the site - it is definitely different. I only wish the results were easier to read. I feel this might be the beginning of a new type of interface that we might start seeing in other websites, which are trying to make it more interactive.

Personally, I am waiting for the time when you will be able to tell the site what you want to search for.

Something like, you put on the earphones you use for Skype; speak your search terms or even explain what you want; and the speach recognition software built into the site's interface performs the search. Of course, you are speaking directly with some character, Bruce Willis or Oprah.

In a couple of seconds, you hear Oprah saying: here are your results, I recommend you use Google-gadgets, and don't forget to tune in to Oprah on Wednesday when we'll be talking about blah, blah, blah. ;-)
